Geography connects to everything—history, science, and even current events. In this class, students will go beyond memorizing maps—they’ll draw the continents, building a mental map that lasts a lifetime!
As they explore each continent’s unique biomes, students will bring their learning to life through creative projects like animal drawings, pastel landscapes, and clay animal sculptures. With expert guidance and fun, interactive lessons, this class makes geography exciting, memorable, and meaningful.
Students will end the school year able to draw the continents from memory and they'll have an art journal full of art to remind them of all they've learned!
A great class for CC Foundations-Age Students! Know your continents before you get to Challange A!

Supply List:
Mixed Media Art Journal 8.5 x 11
Markers like Crayola
Colored pencils or crayons
Pencil (#2 or drawing pencils)
Blending tools for drawing (2 or 3 in various sizes)
Air Dry Clay
I recommend Crayola Air Dry Clay (5lbs), Natural White Modeling Clay for Kids, Sculpting Material (Amazon) This comes in a tub with a lid that seals it. If you don't get clay in a tub, keep it in a zip lock so it doesn't dry out.

Faber-Castell 24 Soft Pastels (or other brand that includes purple)
Tissues: a box of plain tissues with no lotion on them. (These will be used for blending pastels.)
Spray Fixative
(Parents should use the fixative outside after class to stop the pastels from smudging.)
