My Story
I’ve had the joy of interning at several Delightful Art retreats, sitting in on some of Courtney’s incredible classes, subbing in past sessions, and even helping craft lessons for Delightful books. This will be my second year teaching with Courtney, and I’m so grateful to continue being part of such a creative and encouraging community!
I’m newly married and recently moved to Raleigh, where I spend my days both teaching and working at a local coffee shop (fueled by lots of lattes ☕️). Outside of Delightful Art Co., I’ve also worked behind the scenes on creative projects like digital media, merch design, and even set design for community theater.
My teaching and leadership experience is deeply rooted in the performing arts. As the production coordinator and director at Spiritual Twist Productions, I directed plays with casts of up to 40 performers of all ages. I’ve helped bring full musical productions to life collaborating with costumers and set builders, while also leading prayer circles and worship. I love taking on creative challenges, like staging performances in the round to create a more immersive and meaningful audience experience.
In addition to theater, I’ve taught preschool and kindergarten art classes at Kings Town Child Development Center. No matter the setting, I love weaving storytelling, art, and imagination into everything I do, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy into our classroom.
My favorite art mediums are watercolor, acrylics, and graphite pencils. I love exploring each one in different ways and helping students find what they enjoy most.
In my free time, you can usually find me walking my dog, diving into a new craft, reading, or snapping photos.
Also, fair warning: my dog, Pippa, may make a surprise cameo or two during class. She’s cute, curious, and loves to be part of the fun!
