Practice drawing and painting skills and begin to develop original compositions. We will discuss where new ideas come from and learn methods for generating new ideas. Students discuss their ideas, and creativity becomes contagious. We create landscapes, still life, and portraits and introduce graphic design projects like album covers, expressive typography, and book design using traditional methods (painting, drawing, and cut paper). Students may use software to create their art in this class.

This class will be led by Kinley Bowers who is a graduate of Delightful Art School and has earned her bachelor's degree in English and Art from Grove City College. She is currently working on her master's degree in illustration. She is very enthusiastic about great books and art! I'm sure your students will enjoy Kinley and learn a lot!
