Learn to draw all kinds of animals in Draw your way through Fables & Animals!
Aesop's creative storytelling in Fables inspires drawing lessons for budding young artists. The teacher will read a fun fable aloud and describe fun facts about the animals featured in the fable. Students will also learn the Latin word for the animals in the story...this will help them build vocabulary as they recognize Latin derivatives in other words!
Students learn to draw animals step-by-step with their teacher, which builds confidence and drawing skills, then they use their imagination to create the background which helps develop their creativity!

Storytelling is the heart of this delightful class!
The students' art becomes a form of storytelling, too!
A great class for CC Foundations Students!

Spring Semester resumes the week of January 11th.

This fun, fast-paced class will begin with the reading of a short fable, which will give us lots of ideas for things to draw...especially animals! The focus of the class is to teach students the basics of drawing animals that they can then use in other classes! Students will learn drawing techniques, including shading, texture, composition, perspective, and more! We will use pencils and markers to illustrate barnyard, household, exotic, and ocean animals!

This is a great starting point for blossoming art students who need a fun beginner class! Geared toward younger students, it is an encouragement-filled class where your student can express their creativity and share their artwork as they learn foundational drawing skills.

The book is not required for class, but if you would like to extend the lesson and discuss the fable at home, the book is available from CiRCE. (Click the image above to order.) Page numbers will be on your syllabus for easy reference. It's a beautiful addition to your home library, too!

ALL CLASSES ARE RECORDED SO YOU CAN WATCH LATER IF YOU MISS A CLASS! The teacher will explain how to access recordings.
