This fun, fast-paced class will begin with the reading of a short fable, which will give us lots of ideas for things to draw...especially animals! The focus of the class is to teach students the basics of drawing animals that they can then use in other classes! Students will learn drawing techniques, including shading, texture, composition, perspective, and more! We will use pencils and markers to illustrate barnyard, household, exotic, and ocean animals!
This is a great starting point for blossoming art students who need a fun beginner class! Geared toward younger students, it is an encouragement-filled class where your student can express their creativity and share their artwork as they learn foundational drawing skills.
The book is not required for class, but if you would like to extend the lesson and discuss the fable at home, the book is available from CiRCE. (Click the image above to order.) Page numbers will be on your syllabus for easy reference. It's a beautiful addition to your home library, too!
ALL CLASSES ARE RECORDED SO YOU CAN WATCH LATER IF YOU MISS A CLASS! The teacher will explain how to access recordings.
