Challenge A and B Match-Ups
Add art, culture, and beauty to your study of Latin!

The 10 minutes of grammar in this class will help your student in Challenge A or B, or even Challenge 1, if they are new to Latin or need help with the grammar.

Learning about the art and culture of the Romans and Christians living under Roman rule will help your student engage and maybe even love Latin!
The first semester of this fun class is earth science, and the second semester is marine biology, so it relates to the science in either Challenge A or Challenge B.
One happy Challenge B mom whose son is in this science class texted me:

"My son loves the art so much...he looks forward to the class and then does extra similar art on his own!"

This class could also be done while your student in in their last year of Foundations. It'd be a great way to beef up sixth grade!

Mock Trial is a key element of Challenge B, so it's the perfect time to develop drawing skills and use them as a mock courtroom artist in your community's mock trial!

Students will learn about famous court cases and see the courtroom art featuring sketches of high-profile people. Then, they will do drawing exercises to build skills in portraits, perspective, capturing the right moment, and choosing an interesting point of view.

Students will work in a toned art journal with white, graphite, and colored pencils so they can bring their supplies to the mock trial.

In the second semester of this class, students will be invited to show the class their sketches from mock trial practices and the real thing.
