Students arrive at our 2 lake side cottages in the afternoon of May 12, have free time and then dinner together. We'll start our first art project after dinner, and paint as late as we want. Days 2 and 3 will be breakfast then art from 9 to noon, followed by lunch and hiking or other camp activities, then dinner and a session of evening art from 7 to 10. Day 4 will be art from 9 to 12 followed by lunch, then we'll depart. If weather permits, we may do outdoor painting by the lake. Fly into Asheville NC and we can pick you up there, or we can coordinate rides from the Raleigh Area. If parents would like to stay in the area, there is an Inn at Kanuga. (StayKanuga.org)

This year's art projects will be:​

     A set of 3 acrylic paintings on 8 x 8 wood art boards using pallet knives brushes and printmaking

                - inspired by the nature and beauty around us (Okeeffe and other famous artist may inspire us)

     Acrylic Paint on Denim Jackets - Students , art teachers will coach students through the process

                - sutdents choose whatever the like to paint on their jacket (shirts, totes, and hats are also options)

     Watercolor Project with Kate Perry - nature inspired, or student choice

We only have room for 17 students, so make your deposit as soon as possible to reserve your spot.

This covers lodging, food from dinner on day one through lunch on day 4 (8 meals), and all art supplies, art space, and 18 hours of art class time with some of our delightful, experienced art teachers.
